Amid mounting criticism from various political parties ,the CPI(M) has decided to vote against the UPA government .Now political field of india entering into transition period .According to Neena Chodhary, in Express the trust vote is a close call and if the UPA government loses ,we will have a November election.
Both the parties UPA and opponents are trying hard to get votes from M.Ps.CPM general secretary ,Prakash Karat on Sunday met BSP party leader Mayavathi,in a move to take on the Congress led UPA government during trust vote on July 22.
This was the first meeting between the leaders after the recent political developments .So Karat assured the vote from BSP.
Another issue is that External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherji and Lok sabha speaker Somnath chatterji on Sunday, seperately called on veteran marxist leader Jyothi Basu at his residence.According to The Hindu, Somnath told that he still the speaker and not decided how to approach things.
Pranab's visit was to explain to Mr.Basu the reasons behind the collapse of UPA-Left coalition.
It is not only the Congress which is having a tough time on account of the confidence vote .Three small parties in Kerala Congress (Joseph),Janatha Dal (secular), and Indian Union Muslim League .The third IMUL wants togo with the Congress .
Now CPM is in a dilemma that they can't let UPA to rule and they can't rule the nation ,with their identity.If CPM unites with BJP ,it will be a burden for their doctrines.Analysing the issues ,standing as a party of India is the couragous way for CPM.
