Invasion itself gives a negative meaning. Based on the recent newspaper issues, we are compelled to believe that Christian missioners are trying to invade the identities and spiritualities of poor people. It is not a good sign for secular India. Christian missioners give so many contributions to our nation in all the fields which demand dedicated service. But bribing poor people by a plate of food, to join Christianity is not service. Service should be based on mere humanity not by a hidden agenda. Changing religion is a very personal matter. If one change religion by the compulsion of others, it is against the ethos a secular country.
Converting a tribal group into Christianity may destruct their own culture. They will lose all the spiritualities transmitted through generations. These types of invasions lead to communal riots.
Violence is not a remedy at all. So we cannot stand with the Hindu extremists. Christian missioners are not innocent in this problem.
Service oriented mind of Christian missioners is a virtue for the country. If they act like politicians, secularism of India will be destroyed. I am not against conversion of religion by one's own wish. But compelled change of religion indeed, is an invasion.

christian missioners: cultural invasion on national identities and spiritualities?
